I didn’t last long the first day, but pushed a bit farther with them day after day and started joining the political and psychological arguments. Each academic period my grades improved and I too, make the honor roll. More importantly, I had become a member of the group and set a new standard for myself due to group expectations. I was most surprised about how good I felt after a run.

As the endorphins kick in, the run segments can be adjusted. For example: If you don’t feel up to running with your usual strategy of (run three minutes/walk one minute), start with 1-1 or 30 seconds/30 seconds or 15 seconds running/45 seconds walking. Knowing that one can cover just about any distance is also empowering. With the right combination of run-walk-run, you can continue to erase fatigue and push your endurance wall back, walk break by walk break. I walk strategically and run farther!
